Severe Typhoon Mangkhut is composed from a combination of sonified meteorological data and a field recording captured on the 16th day of September 2018, when Mangkhut hit Hong Kong. The field recording was made in a flat on Ap Lei Chau, an island just south of Hong Kong Island, connected to South Island by a bridge and the MTR.
